A lot of
hard work and eating has gone into making your London Food Tour a
smooth-running, delicious experience.
However, there are a few things you need to know before embarking upon your gastronomical adventure.
It is very possible that you could experience up to 4 seasons on any given day in London. Some of your tastings will take place inside one of the venues, whilst others will be outside. In addition, this is a walking Tour that runs weekly, year-round. A frozen, windswept and bedraggled guest is not a happy guest. Arrive suitably attired for the weather (best of luck with that one).
All tastings have been chosen by me, because I think they are exceptional examples of their kind. At this stage, we do not cater for individual dietary or religious/dietary requirements. Meat, dairy and even alcohol (an ingredient in 1 tasting) feature on the Tour. I appreciate that this won’t please everybody, but as the Tours evolve, this will be looked at. Neither can I say, with absolute certainty, that your tastings have never come into contact with nuts or anything else food allergy-related.
At the beginning of the Tour, you will receive a bottle of water, for all of your thirst and palate-cleansing-based needs. Whilst there may be drinks at some venues, this is not guaranteed and so, if you are an exceptionally thirsty person, well, that is down to you to cater for.
The cost per person is £35, paid in advance to secure your place. A person is defined as any human who is eating on the Tour. There are no lower prices for small humans. If they are eating, they are paying (or being paid for). Obviously, if you have some exceptionally small humans, with tiny appetites, you can make an executive decision to let them share from your tasting plates, but that is down to you. Venues will only supply enough for paying customers.
Of course, and it is hoped this will not be the case, you may have to cancel for one reason or another. If informing of cancellation more than 7 days before your Tour date, you will get a complete refund. If less than 7 days, you will receive £15 (per paid guest) refund. If less than 24 hours, the money’s mine, all mine.
If you decide to go ahead and book and pay for a Food Tour, you accept everything I’ve just outlined above. If you are making a booking for your party or for other people, by booking you are accepting that either you have shown them this, to which they have also agreed, or that you are taking the responsibility that they are totally cool with it.
Now-down to the business end. You can pay by cheque, Paypal (+5%) or Bank Transfer. If you are coming from overseas, the only one of these options that will work for you is Paypal. Bank Transfer from overseas is messy and expensive and a cheque won’t work. I do not accept credit cards, magic beans, IOU’s or fictional currency.
Thank you and I look forward to welcoming you to your Food Tour very soon.
